WHAT TO EXPECT AS A CRIME STOPPERS VOLUNTEER.

What is expected from a WCS Board Member?
Volunteers will help us in various ways at our two major fundraisers of the year, the Ziti Dinner and the Motorcycle Run.  Fundraising and promotion of these events is key to making the program successful.

What else will a Board Member be expected to assist with?

Volunteers will also be expected to help increase the visibility of the Crime Stoppers Program throughout the city.  This can be done through events we currently sponsor such as the Poster Contest and Scholarship Program, or by helping to develop new and creative ideas.

How much time does a Director need to commit to Crime Stoppers?

Generally, Waterbury Crime Stoppers has one meeting each month at the Waterbury Police Department - Commuity Relations building on the corner of Bank Street and Grand Street. There are more meetings scheduled in July and August in preparation for the Ziti Dinner. Some volunteers may also choose to serve on a subcommittee that suits their individual talents.
